The pro version of this charger has a load balancing feature that will not overdraw current when your home is using more than the charger can send to your car. This is especially important in a home with a 100-AMP electric service that is used by say, a large family. We recommend this load management so that there is no potential damage to sensitive electronics in your home when many circuits and higher loads are applied. These EV chargers also come with a whole-home electric meter. They also sell another part ot these meters and can measure other circuits in your home. These chargers also have a phone app to monitor your electric use in your home and at your charger. They top out at 48 AMPS, which is a lot for a home charger (if your home is wired for this). When we install an EV charger it sometimes requires a electric panel or service upgrade. It costs more and take a few days, but it is well worth it because it will meet all safety codes and give you the fastest charge possible. At 48 AMP's ,about 11,500 watts of power!
